We are a non-profit animal rescue committed to rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing stray, abandoned, neglected and abused animals. Run by volunteers, we are based in Winchester, VA and have foster homes in Fredericksburg VA, Capon Bridge WV, and Romney WV. We do NOT have a facility. All animals are in foster homes.

Our History

Seeing a need for an energetic nonprofit to support our community's animals, we formed our organization to provide sensible solutions in the memory of Shirley Burroughs, an avid animal lover and our president's mother. We've grown considerably since then, all thanks to the helping hands of this amazing community!
